Psp rumors!

An all new Psp? Some say that one might be coming up soon - 1up.com claims that it might be coming out this fall! This new model is said to be called the "Psp Go!", or the "Psp-4000" - nobody knows for sure! The new Psp will have no UMD slot ( the UMD is a type of disk which is used to store Psp games and movies) and it might even have a slide-out keypad! All games will be stored in the Psp's internal storage (which has not been inside the other Psp models) and will be downloaded off the Playstation store, an online store which is like iTunes, except it has games instead of music. All the older Psp games will be playable on the new Psp, but this time they won't be on UMD, they'll be downloadable from the Playstation store.

Amazing, yet weird!

Game Consoles

When it comes to game consoles, there are a lot of options to choose from. The most popular consoles, though, are the Xbox, Xbox 360,The DS, The GBA (game boy advance), PlayStation 1,2,&3, The PSP, The Wii, and, of course, the computer. The Xbox & Xbox 360 both have very good graphics and things, with thrilling action games such as the Halo or the Call of Duty games too. Both these consoles come with Xbox live, an online multiplayer service where you can play against other people or you can even download demo games and music ( you have to buy most of them). Another cool feature is that you can transfer songs from your PC to your Xbox and then you can play your songs while you play a game.

The three most popular Nintendo consoles - the Wii, the DS, and the game boy advance are probably the most popular. The graphics are okay and the games freeze up at times, but the games are loads of fun and all the consoles are very cheap compared to all the others. The DS has a lot of fun games including Avatar: Burning Earth and Mario kart, too.

PlayStations are AWESOME! The only bad thing about Playstations is their price - the Ps3 costs about $400! The Ps3 is a great console, though - the graphics and detail of it's games are amazing! It's loaded with tons of features, including a web browser, an online multiplayer thing that's like Xbox live except better, an online download center where you can download games, themes, videos and more, an music player, and tons more! The PlayStation 2 is a great console and it's games are very similar to the Xbox's. Some games I recommend are the Sims games , Rock band and Lego Indidana Jones: The Original Adventures.

Robots

There are many robots in this world , but none of them are as awesome as the ones in these videos - they range from robotic teachers to Elvises! Take a look at these videos:

The Verizon Hub - It's not your average phone!

The Verizon Hub is definitively not your average home phone - first of all, it's got an awesome touchscreen, which you can use to check the weather, find directions, look up people in the online yellow pages, call people (of course), and quite a bit more. You can watch the news, find the nearest coffee shop, send texts, and even buy movie tickets. It is a little pricey though - it costs about $200 with a 2 year phone contract. It's a great phone! For more info, go to www.verizon.com.

Miniclip.com

Too bored of the games you own to play them? Go to miniclip.com! Miniclip has a variety of great video games you can play for free, including mountain bike, stunt pilot, and off the rails.
You can also sign up to a "miniclip players" account (for free, too) which lets you make a personal avatar, (a little like a Mii on the Wii) challenge other players, earn awards, and it even lets you post your high score on the high score list (leader board) of the game you're playing.
Check out the bottom of our blog for more groovy miniclip games in the game arcade.

Game Review: Simcity

SimCity 4 is the awesomest computer game ever - it's just so AWESOME! In SimCity you get to create your own virtual city - you get to build parks, houses, beaches, roads, seaports, railroads, bridges, fire stations and pretty much everything else a city can have! Once you build your city, you get to drive cars, trains, ships, planes and other vehicles across your city in the U-Drive It mode. Sometimes, you can go on special missions to get money or unlock new buildings. In these missions, you usually drive a certain vehicle to certain targets across the city- for example, on the "Sick Bus Driver" mission, you drive a bus to certain bus stops around your city. Once you complete the mission you unlock a convention center and your mayor rating gets raised. But that's not all - you can cause destruction and doom in your city with the destruction tool! With it you can send a tornado spinning through your city, or you can make a UFO blast the city to bits, a volcano rise in the center of town, or even make a giant robot come stomping through your precious city! As I said, it's an AWESOME game!
You can get SimCity 4 for both mac and PC, and a simpler version for the iPhone/iPod.

Type Faces!

Try typing up faces on your computer - it's really fun!
You can make lots of different designs such as these:
____
|(.) (.)|
|-oo--|
|_-__| <- some guy
______________________________________________________________

{{{{{{{{
}}}}}}}} <- wave
{{{{{{{{
}}}}}}}} ______________________________________________________________ _____
| (o) (o)| <- "Shocked"
|_ [] __| ______________________________________________________________ FEATURES: (.), (o), <- Eyes
00 <- Nostrils
O, - , (), {} , [] <- Mouth
~, <, >, |, \, /, ^, <- Other Useful Symbols

Have fun!

The IPod Touch

The iPod touch really is "the funnest iPod ever!" It's got all the features you could want - awesome games, a web browser, a GPS, Youtube, Apps of all kinds, a video player,texting, and much more! Best of all, even more features are coming with software update 3.0, which will soon be available on iTunes. The iPod touch also has a lot of high tech stuff like its accelometer and touch screen. What is the accelometer? It's a sensor in the iPod touch (and nano) that senses motion, enabling the iPod Touch to - for example - erase your artwork in scribble (a game/app for the iPod) when you shake the iPod. It's quite an iPod!

A new, smaller version of the IPod shuffle came out today! It's quite a cool one - it's really small (1.8 inches tall and 0.3 inches thin to be exact) and instead of having a screen it speaks the song name, artist and album for you in a computerized voice! It also has 4GB of storage space, double the amount of the previous model. See for youself at apple.com!
